Shrewsbury Dental Office
In our
Shrewsbury dental office Quinsigamond Dental provides our patients with the highest quality dental care from a team of expert and experienced doctors and highly trained support staff. Our team of dental physicians is broad enough to provide services that meet the needs of most dental conditions under one roof. Our practice places an emphasis on preventative dentistry, so we endeavor to work with our patients to stop any decay from taking hold and beginning to erode the teeth. In addition to regular checkups with our patients are encouraged to have dental cleanings from our hygienists at least twice a year. During these cleanings our hygienist will scrape off plaque and tartar from between and around the teeth. Normal teeth brushing and flossing cannot effectively remove these hard substances. Our hygienist will also clean the area around the gum line to help prevent gum disease and then polish the teeth.
Our
Shrewsbury dental office also helps brighten the smiles of our patients through one of our teeth whitening programs. After years of eating and drinking, smoking and use of certain prescription drugs teeth get discolored or even stained and our doctors can whiten patients’ teeth through the use of custom fitted trays and a professional strength bleaching solution. Our doctor will take an impression of the patient’s teeth and have a custom tray made that will hold the bleaching solution firmly against the patient’s teeth. At home the patient will use the trays and bleaching solution for 2 -3 hours a day, whenever they have the time. After a week or two their teeth will be considerably whiter. For those patients needing more speed in their whitening our office offers Zoom!. Zoom! is a whitening system that is done in our office in just one hour. Our doctor spreads a bleaching gel on the patient’s teeth and then activates the gel with a special lamp developed by Zoom!. After 15 minutes the gel is wiped off and then the whole process is repeated two or three times. After the hour the patient’s teeth are usually eight shades whiter.
Our
Shrewsbury dental office uses various techniques to replace missing teeth including dentures, implants and bridges. Although they have been around for a long time dental bridges remain a popular method of replacing missing teeth because they are less costly, involve no surgery and can be done in much less time than implants. Bridges involve suspending a tooth in a gum-like base between two adjacent teeth. The two supporting teeth receive crowns to allow the bridge to stay secure. The bridge and the crowns are made into one structure. To experience the whole range of our practice’s services please make an appointment with our office.
