Dr. Shainhouse, a Canadian native, completed his dental degree at University of Western Ontario in Canada. He then moved to the United States to continue his dental career and decided to focus on the fields of periodontology and implantology. After completing 3 years of specialty training at New York University, School of Dental Medicine, he began his work as a periodontist, focusing on implant and gum surgery. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Shainhouse is a staff periodontist at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston, and a clinical instructor at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, where he works with post-graduate dental residents.
